It is in a crossroad, in a valley next to the coast and by the mountain of Cuera.
It is a village situated 39.5 m. above the sea level and it has 924 inhabitants. Besides this it is the urban capital of the parish which includes other small villages: Bricia, Lledias, Piedra, Quintana y Turanzas
